I had property in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina and I know the kinds of games insurance companies play when your house is eight feet under water. When I had an ice-avalanche disaster at my business last year during the ice storm, Encharter stuck with me instead of running away! What a concept in insurance companies! When I called to tell them what happened, they said, "That's why you have insurance. Don't worry about this." They put me directly in touch with the actual insurer who acted like a sane person, heard me out, discussed all the options with me and ended up making everyone happy.
